Kim's "love of design" path began with a degree in Interior Design from the University of Nebraska, which led her to join the hospitality design team at Marriott International. In 1989, she began working for an Axminster carpet manufacturer until she launched K.D. Swanson Hospitality Resource in 1993 with the goal to represent manufacturers that deliver excellent quality, value & superior customer service. Thirty years later, she is still dedicated to that goal representing hospitality manufacturers that are equally devoted to long term relationships.
Kim's endless energy, creativity, and 36 years of expertise in hospitality design, sales, and manufacturing, allow for a unique relationship to bridge the gap between design inspiration, purchasing and manufacturing.
Peter joined the team after 34 years in the commercial real estate arena, including 6 years leasing and managing industrial space for a commercial real estate developer and 10 years in business & economic development. Having retired from Federal service after 18 years with the Army Corps of Engineers (DoD) and most recently with the Department of State (DoS), Peter managed and negotiated real estate site and building acquisitions on behalf of both federal agencies.

He has a business degree from the University of Akron, Ohio and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Science from Johns Hopkins University.
